We are a hybrid remote company. For us, this means that your main workplace is where you feel comfortable. We respect your individuality and want to support you to work from where it suits you best. There is no requirement for anyone to come in to the Widgetbook office on a daily basis.
Our best ideas are born in the moment. Be it during a lunch break or a spontaneous discussion above the computer screen. We therefore want to be able to gather the whole team in one place for occasional onsite sprints or events. We would be happy if you shared this perspective.
We are a team. We are in close contact with each other. Therefore, availability is important in order to be able to clarify ad hoc questions quickly. We have agreed on a core working time of 10 am to 2 pm CET. During this time, the entire team is available online, no matter of which time zone they are in. Regardless, we value the time of each of us and will not bug anyone with pointless meetings.
Whether you choose a workplace in Lisbon, Berlin or Nairobi, your immediate working environment plays an important role. It will determine whether you are able to contribute as a reliable team member and make Widgetbook better every day. When you are not working in our office, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have a quiet working environment with a stable internet connection. You should also be able to be available for confidential conversations without the whole of Starbucks listening in.
We love to travel. Especially backpacking or exploring the world off road. But both only work for us on holiday. If you change your location occasionally, you ensure that the above points are fulfilled - no matter where you want to work in the world.
